Koch Capabilities India (KGS) is building a world-class analytics and innovation hub that supports Koch businesses globally. As a Data Engineer within the KGS Analytics capability, you will help design, develop, and scale modern data and visualization solutions that enable better decision-making across diverse global businesses.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact analytics use cases from the ground up, collaborate with global stakeholders, and contribute directly to the growth of Koch's analytics capabilities in India.
Our Team
You will be part of an international, highly collaborative analytics and visualization team within Koch Global Services. The team partners closely with Business Analysts, Analytics Consultants, and internal customers across Koch businesses worldwide to create scalable, value-driven analytics and data products.
What You Will Do
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand key business drivers and translate them into data and analytics solutions that create measurable value
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytical datasets to support business intelligence and advanced analytics use cases
- Develop reliable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on cloud platforms (primarily AWS)
- Contribute to the design of KPIs and visualization-ready datasets that enable situational awareness and informed decision-making
- Improve data pipeline reliability, scalability, and observability through best-in-class engineering practices
- Implement consistent, reusable development frameworks and metadata-driven processes to enable impact analysis, lineage, and source-to-target traceability
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to prototype, test, and productionize analytics solutions at scale
- Continuously explore opportunities to optimize existing dashboards, pipelines, and analytics products
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines and data warehouses in cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience modeling data for analytics and reporting use cases
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3 (including Iceberg), Athena, Redshift, EMR, SNS, and Glue Data Catalog
- Experience using Python for data engineering, automation, and troubleshooting
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using git-based source control and collaborative development practices
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience working with modern cloud data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake
- Experience with dimensional data modeling for analytics and reporting
- Exposure to data visualization or analytics tools such as Power BI or Python-based visualization libraries
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working in DevOps-oriented environments
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- AWS certifications or other relevant cloud certifications
