Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer to support the sales team by providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will understand customer requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, deliver product demonstrations, and work closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and propose suitable technical solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions.
- Analyze customer requirements and design customized solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and response documents (RFP/RFQ/RFI).
- Provide pre-sales technical support and address customer queries.
- Coordinate with engineering, product, and implementation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist in solution architecture and system design based on customer requirements.
- Conduct technical training for customers, partners, and internal sales teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Support post-sales activities when required to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Technical Sales role.
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant products, systems, or solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to understand customer business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in solution selling and consultative sales.
- Knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation and proposals.
- Strong negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
