JOB TITLE: Commis 2 — South Indian Kitchen
Location: Kandivali west, Mumbai

What You Will Do
- Prepare South Indian dishes like dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys and rice dishes
- Assist the head cook in daily kitchen operations
- Prepare and grind batter for idli and dosa daily
- Make fresh chutneys, sambar and rasam every day
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised at all times
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly
- Help with receiving, storing and organising ingredients
- Assist in mise en place — cutting, chopping and prepping vegetables
- Follow recipes and portion sizes correctly every time
- Work well with the kitchen team during service hours
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a South Indian kitchen
- Good knowledge of South Indian cooking — dosa, idli, sambar, rasam, chutneys
- Knowledge of batter preparation and fermentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
- Honest, punctual and hardworking
- Ability to work in a team
- Languages: Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu or Kannada speakers welcome
- English is not required — little or no English is perfectly fine
Working Hours
- 6 days a week
- Shift timings as per restaurant schedule
- Early morning shift included (batter prep, opening)
