Position Title: Aggregate Plant Supervisor

Job Summary
The Aggregate Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the aggregate production plant, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. The role involves supervising manpower, coordinating plant activities, monitoring equipment performance, and maintaining operational discipline.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Supervise daily aggregate production activities and ensure achievement of production targets.
- Monitor plant operations including crushers, screens, conveyors, and associated equipment.
- Ensure optimum utilization of plant resources, machinery, and manpower.
- Coordinate with the Plant Head regarding production planning and operational requirements.
Quality Control
- Ensure production of aggregates as per required size specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for sample testing and quality compliance.
- Take corrective actions in case of quality deviations.
Team Supervision
- Supervise operators, helpers, and contract workers deployed at the plant.
- Allocate duties and monitor workforce productivity.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Maintenance Coordination
- Monitor equipment condition and report breakdowns promptly.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely lubrication and routine inspection of machinery.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards.
- Promote safe working practices and use of PPE.
- Maintain plant housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
- Report and investigate any unsafe conditions or incidents.
Inventory & Resource Monitoring
- Monitor stock levels of aggregates, diesel, lubricants, and consumables.
- Maintain production and dispatch records.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for material requirements.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily production reports.
- Maintain equipment operation logs and shift reports.
- Report production performance, downtime, and operational issues to management.
Qualification & ExperienceEducation
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Candidates with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in aggregate plants, crushing plants, mining operations, or similar industrial environments.
- Experience in supervising plant operations and workforce management.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of aggregate crushing and screening operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Understanding of plant maintenance requirements.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and operational compliance.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
