Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our Customer Service team. The candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of bagging and automation machines at customer sites. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills to ensure high customer satisfaction and efficient machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of bagging machines and automation equipment at customer locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and repair activities to ensure smooth machine operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, pneumatic, and mechanical issues efficiently.
- Provide technical support to customers through on-site visits, phone calls, and remote assistance.
- Maintain detailed service reports, maintenance records, and documentation of work performed.
- Conduct training sessions for customers/operators regarding machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Production, QC, and Design for effective problem resolution and customer support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and suggesting corrective actions.
- Ensure timely response and closure of customer complaints and service requests.
- Follow company safety standards and service procedures during field activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge ofautomation systems, electrical panels, sensors, drives, PLC-based systems, and industrial machines.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple service activities.
- Willingness to travel for site installation and service support.
- Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Educational Qualification
ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
- Electrical
- Electrical & Electronics
- Instrumentation
- Mechatronics
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in machine servicing, installation, or maintenance in an automation company.
- Experience in packaging machines, bagging machines, or industrial automation equipment will be an added advantage.
