Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage the company's accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and day-to-day finance activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, P&L, and Balance Sheet for management review.
- Coordinate with auditors, bankers, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections from customers.
- Verify vendor invoices, payment vouchers, employee reimbursements, and expense reports.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records.
- Support the Director with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime/ERP, Busy ERP, or SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, MIS Reports).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory
- M.Com / MBA (Finance) – Preferred
- CA Inter / CMA Inter – Added advantage
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in a Manufacturing, Engineering, HVAC, Industrial Equipment, or Trading company will be preferred.
