Job description:
IMMEDIATE JOINERS PREFFERED
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and related documents. The role involves collaborating with project managers, procurement teams, and clients to ensure competitive and realistic project costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis.
- Solicit and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and tender documentation.
- Analyze project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with design and project teams to clarify technical requirements.
- Track and maintain historical cost data for future reference.
- Support contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications.
- Assist in cost control during project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in estimation or cost engineering (industry-specific experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
