Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Follow recipes and prepare ingredients for cooking.
- Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients used.
- Measure and assemble ingredients according to the recipe.
- Cooking:
- Cook and plate dishes according to established standards.
- Monitor cooking processes to ensure food is cooked evenly and meets quality standards.
- Adjust seasoning and flavors as necessary.
- Menu Development:
- Collaborate with the chef to create and refine menu items.
- Suggest improvements and innovative ideas for menu enhancements.
- Kitchen Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly store food items to prevent spoilage and waste.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes.
- Address and rectify any issues with food quality or presentation.
- Safety and Hygiene:
- Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Properly handle and store raw ingredients to prevent cross-contamination.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate cooking times and delivery of dishes.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and other staff members.
