Operation Theatre (OT) staff are a specialized team of healthcare professionals responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and sterile execution of surgical procedures. Working closely together, they manage everything from preparing the operating room to assisting the surgeon and providing post-operative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-surgery preparation: Set up the operation theatre, arrange surgical instruments, and connect/test surgical equipment.
- Assisting the surgical team: Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses, and assist with patient positioning during the procedure.
- Infection control: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments, operating tables, and surfaces before and after surgeries.
- Monitoring equipment: Ensure all monitors and machines are functioning correctly and report any defects immediately.
- Patient support: Safely transport patients to and from the operating room and assist with their comfort .
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: 10+2 with a Science stream, followed by a Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) or a Certificate in OT Technician training.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, keen attention to detail, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
