We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our production team in Tirupur. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs in our knitted garments factory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
2. Layout Planning: Design and implement efficient factory layouts to reduce waste, improve workflow, and increase productivity.
3. Work Study: Conduct work studies to identify areas for improvement, reduce labor costs, and improve working conditions.
4. Standardization: Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in production.
5. Cost Reduction: Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
6. Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the quality team to identify and address quality issues, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
7. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
8. Project Management: Manage small-scale projects to implement new equipment, processes, or technologies.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a textile or garment manufacturing industry.
3. Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Personal Qualities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
