JOB DESCRIPTION - Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

Job Purpose
To provide safe, timely, and quality medical care to patients in the Emergency Department, IPD, ICU, Nursery, and other clinical areas while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, ethical practices, and NABH standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Assess, examine, and stabilize patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Perform initial assessment and ongoing monitoring of admitted patients.
- Initiate treatment and emergency management until the concerned consultant takes over.
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
- Attend Code Blue, medical emergencies, and trauma cases promptly.
- Perform basic medical procedures within the scope of practice.
- Monitor critically ill patients and escalate any deterioration immediately.
Documentation
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records, admission notes, progress notes, treatment orders, referrals, MLC documentation, death summaries, and discharge documentation as applicable.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is completed timely and accurately.
Patient Safety & NABH Compliance
- Follow NABH standards, hospital policies, infection control practices, and Biomedical Waste Management guidelines.
- Ensure medication safety and patient identification protocols are followed.
- Report incidents, adverse events, medication errors, and sentinel events as per hospital policy.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, trainings, and mock drills.
Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments for effective patient care.
- Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the concerned consultant.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Perform rotational duties including day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Maintain discipline, professional ethics, confidentiality, and punctuality.
- Ensure emergency equipment and crash carts are readily available and functional during duty.
- Perform duties in the Emergency, ICU, Ward, Nursery, HDU, OT, OPD, or any other clinical area as assigned by the Medical Superintendent.
- Undertake any other clinical, administrative, operational, or quality-related responsibilities assigned by the Hospital Management or Chairman from time to time in the interest of patient care and smooth hospital operations.
Qualification
- MBBS from a recognized medical college.
- Valid Delhi Medical Council Registration.
Experience
Minimum 2–4 years of hospital experience preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
