Core Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Calibrate and prepare CNC machines for operation according to job requirements and established parameters.
- Programming: Enter instructions or program the CNC machine to cut, shape, or finish materials precisely.
- Operation: Monitor the machine's operation, loading raw materials and unloading finished parts while making necessary adjustments.
- Quality Control: Inspect machined parts using specialized instruments to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on the machinery to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Study technical drawings, blueprints, and production plans to understand part design and dimensions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to company policies, safety protocols, and proper handling techniques for materials and machinery.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of CNC machine mechanics, software, and hardware.
- Attention to Detail: The ability to work with precision and focus on intricate details for quality production.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Familiarity with machining processes like drilling, cutting, and shaping materials.
- Problem-Solving: The capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during machine operation.
- Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in geometry and calculations to ensure precise dimensions and measurements.
