Job Title: IT Manager – Hardware & Software

Location: owala, Thane west, GB Road.
Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining all hardware and software systems across the factory and 26 retail outlets. The role ensures uninterrupted POS billing, system connectivity, data security, and seamless integration between software systems (POS, accounts, inventory) along with efficient hardware performance.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
A. HARDWARE MANAGEMENT
1. IT Infrastructure & Devices
- Installation and maintenance of desktops, laptops, POS machines
- Management of printers (billing printers, barcode printers)
- Troubleshooting hardware issues across outlets and factory
- Preventive maintenance of all IT equipment
2. Network Hardware & Connectivity
- Routers, switches, modems setup and maintenance
- Internet connectivity for all 26 outlets
- Backup internet solutions (dongles/secondary lines)
- Coordination with ISPs
3. IT Asset Management
- Maintain asset register (location-wise tracking)
- Asset allocation, movement, and disposal
- AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) management
- Vendor coordination for hardware procurement
B. SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT
1. POS & Billing Software (VERY CRITICAL)
- Ensure smooth functioning of POS systems at all outlets
- Billing software updates and troubleshooting
- Real-time issue resolution during billing hours
- Coordination with software vendors
2. ERP / Accounts / Inventory Systems
- Manage accounting and inventory software
- Ensure integration between POS, accounts, and stock
- Monitor data flow and accuracy
- System configuration and upgrades
3. Data Management & Backup
- Daily backup of sales, accounts, and inventory data
- Data storage and security
- Disaster recovery planning
4. Cybersecurity & Software Protection
- Antivirus, firewall, and system security
- User access control and password policies
- Software license management
- Protection against data breaches
C. IT SUPPORT & OPERATIONS
1. IT Helpdesk & Support
- Provide remote and on-site support to outlets
- Ticket management system
- Staff training on POS and basic IT usage
2. System Monitoring & Performance
- Monitor system performance across all locations
- Ensure minimal downtime
- Preventive issue detection
3. IT Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain IT SOPs and policies
- Audit readiness (data, licenses, logs)
- Documentation of systems and processes

1. Hardware Performance
- Hardware Uptime: 98% – 99%
- Preventive Maintenance Completion: 100%
- Hardware Failure Rate: ≤ 2%
2. POS & Software Performance
- POS Uptime (Outlets): 100% during business hours
- Billing Downtime: ≤ 1%
- Software Issue Resolution:
- Critical: < 1 hour
- Normal: < 24 hours

- Network Issue Resolution Time: < 2 hours

Experience
- 5–10 years in IT infrastructure/support
- 2+ years in team handling role
- Experience in retail / multi-location operations preferred

- Available for emergency/on-call support
