- Welcome and escort guests to their tables.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and personalized service.
- Present menus and explain daily specials and promotions.
- Assist guests with menu recommendations, including food and beverage pairings.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special dietary requirements professionally.
- Follow up during and after meals to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Supervise waiters, stewards, and trainee staff during the shift.
- Allocate tables and service stations to team members.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily updates.
- Ensure all staff are properly groomed and in full uniform.
- Motivate the team to achieve service excellence.
- Ensure the restaurant is fully prepared before opening.
- Check table settings, cutlery, crockery, glassware, and linen.
- Monitor service standards throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with the kitchen for timely order preparation and delivery.
- Ensure correct order taking and accurate billing.
- Supervise buffet setup, replenishment, and closing procedures when applicable.
- Monitor restaurant equipment and report damages.
- Ensure sufficient stock of menus, stationery, and service supplies.
- Assist in inventory checks of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and linen.
- Work closely with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, and Engineering departments.
- Ensure smooth communication between service and kitchen teams.
- Verify guest bills before presentation.
- Ensure accurate posting of charges.
- Follow hotel cash handling and billing procedures.
- Ensure all tables and service stations are cleaned and reset.
- Complete shift reports and hand over pending work.
- Secure restaurant equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the restaurant is ready for the next shift.
