We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Medical Data Entry Specialist to support the United Therapeutics Cares (UT Cares) program. The role involves managing patient-related documents, referrals, and service requests within Salesforce Health Cloud while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness. This position requires strict adherence to HIPAA standards, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standardized workflows.

Process inbound faxes, emails, and web form submissions by creating or updating patient, provider, and facility accounts in Salesforce Health Cloud.

Verify patient details using three HIPAA identifiers (e.g., name, DOB, address, phone, zip code) before linking documents.

Create and update Clinical Service Requests (CSRs) for patient enrolment, support, or voucher cases.

Record and update patient consents, prescriptions, insurance details, and disease state information.

Manage queues such as Inbound Fax Queue, ARxDrugReferral Queue, and General Inquiry (Web & Email to Case).

Ensure proper assignment of cases and tasks to Patient Navigators, including “New Document Received” and “Patient Welcome Call” tasks.

Rename, organize, and upload documents consistently following UT Cares naming conventions.

Communicate discrepancies or incomplete documentation to leadership and escalate when required.

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Bachelor’s degree preferred (Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field a plus).

2+ years of data entry or healthcare operations experience, preferably in a US healthcare process.

Experience with Salesforce (Health Cloud) or similar CRM systems is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow structured processes.

Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.

Prior experience with patient support programs, insurance verification, or specialty pharmacy processes is a plus.

High accuracy and speed in data entry.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and handling of sensitive patient data.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Problem-solving and proactive escalation of issues.
