Brand & Visual Storytelling Lead
SUMMER is looking for a Brand & Visual Storytelling Lead. This is not a traditional marketing role.
We are looking for someone who deeply understands fashion, aesthetics, storytelling, culture, and customer psychology — someone who can shape how the brand feels across every touchpoint.
The role involves leading the visual and narrative direction of SUMMER across:
– Social media
– Website & product storytelling
– Campaigns & shoots
– Retail experiences
– Launches & collections
– Brand communication
– Seasonal calendars & marketing strategy
The ideal person combines creative instinct with strategic thinking — someone who can see the larger picture, build a cohesive brand world, and create excitement and desire around the brand while understanding what drives engagement, retention, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead the visual storytelling and brand direction across all platforms
- Plan and execute marketing calendars aligned with launches, seasons, retail moments, campaigns, and collections
- Oversee social media direction, content planning, and communication tone across digital channels
- Shape the website experience, including imagery, merchandising, product storytelling, collection edits, and customer journey
- Work closely with founders, designers, photographers, stylists, content creators, and retail teams to build a cohesive brand narrative
- Develop campaigns, concepts, activations, collaborations, and ideas that strengthen the SUMMER universe
- Lead retail and campaign planning with intentionality and long-term vision, ensuring every launch and customer touchpoint feels considered, elevated, and emotionally aligned with the brand
- Collaborate closely with retail and sales teams to translate brand storytelling into meaningful in-store experiences and sustained commercial growth
- Analyse customer behaviour, engagement, and performance insights to improve communication and conversion organically
- Ensure all brand touchpoints feel cohesive, elevated, emotionally resonant, and strategically aligned
- We are looking for someone who: Has strong visual taste and fashion sensibility- Understands branding beyond trends and algorithm— Thinks strategically, not just operationally- Is deeply online, culturally aware, and creatively curious- Can balance creativity with commercial awareness- Has experience in fashion, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality, or culture-led brands- Is proactive, detail-oriented, organised, and full of ideas- Is comfortable leading conversations, giving direction, and managing cross-functional creative execution
This role is for someone who wants to help build a brand — not just market products.
We are not looking for someone to simply manage Instagram. We are looking for someone who can help shape the next chapter of SUMMER.
