Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, from supplier identification to contract management, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting business operations. They play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain efficiency and contributing to organizational profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value for goods and services
- Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and specifications
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing contracts and agreements
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock management
- Analyze spending patterns and implement cost reduction initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
- Understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and vendor management
- Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance requirements
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier interactions
- Ability to present procurement strategies and recommendations to management

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Additional qualifications in procurement, logistics, or operations management
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and vendor relations
- Background in relevant industry sectors (manufacturing, retail etc.)
Work Environment
- Full-time office-based role with occasional supplier visits and trade shows
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams and regular interaction with external suppliers
- May require occasional travel for supplier audits and relationship building
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
