About us
Square One Construction & Projects is a premium construction and renovation company operating across Cape Town and Gauteng. We build high-end homes and spaces — and we want the content to match the standard of the work.
The role
We're looking for a video and photo editor to turn our raw site footage into content people actually stop scrolling for. This starts as a light, per-reel arrangement and can grow as the volume grows.
What you'll do
- Edit standard team reels — behind the scenes, staff, day-to-day site content
- Turn raw site footage into story-driven reels: progress, process, craftsmanship
- Create high-impact before/after and transformation reels with strong transitions and effects
- Edit and retouch site and project photos for use on our website and social platforms
- Down the line: research what other construction, renovation and design brands are doing well and bring us reel concepts of your own
What we need from you
- Proven editing skills — Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci, Final Cut or similar (show us, don't just tell us)
- A strong eye for pacing, sound design and transitions — you understand what makes a reel perform, not just look neat
- High Attention to detail!
- Photo editing ability (Lightroom/Photoshop or equivalent) for clean, professional website imagery
- Reliable turnaround times and clear communication
- Initiative. This is the big one. We want someone who owns this space, brings ideas, spots opportunities and drives the content forward — not someone who waits for a brief every time.
Nice to have
- Experience with construction, architecture, interiors or property content
- Understanding of what performs on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
The deal
- We agree on a set rate per reel upfront
- You're paid out based on the number of reels delivered, either bi-weekly or monthly (your preference)
- Not full-time to begin with, with real scope to grow as we scale our content output
- Tell us your per-reel rate when you apply
