About Position:
Role: Monitor, report, and support remediation of network security posture across on-prem perimeter and AWS/cloud-edge environments spanning firewalls, DNS-layer protection, WAF, and AWS native network controls.

What You'll Do:

Monitor posture using Cisco Umbrella (DNS/SWG), Cloudflare (WAF/DDo
-
S/Zero Trust), AWS WAF, and AWS native controls (Security Groups, NACLs, VPC flow logs, Network Firewall, Route 53 DNS Firewall, Shield), plus on-prem firewalls/IDS-IPS/VPN [Palo Alto/Fortinet/Cisco confirm].

Identify and track control deviations; coordinate remediation with network/cloud ops teams.

Support L2 tickets investigate deviations, validate firewall/WAF/policy changes, close within SLA.

Run periodic firewall, WAF, and DNS-policy rule reviews.

Deliver monthly posture reports and quarterly (QBR) optimization recommendations using OOTB native tooling.
Expertise You'll Bring:

Network security fundamentals (TCP/IP, segmentation, zero-trust).

Hands-on: Cisco Umbrella, Cloudflare, AWS WAF, AWS native network security.

Enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN; firewall/WAF rule lifecycle and change management.

L2 security operations experience.

Preferred

Certs: AWS Security Specialty, PCNSE, NSE 4+, CCNP Security, or equivalent.

Regulated/healthcare (PHI) environment experience.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
