About the Role
Alps Digital Devices is looking for an experienced and analytical Business Analyst to support business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business performance, identifying opportunities and gaps, preparing actionable reports, understanding business requirements, and working closely with management and various departments to drive business improvements.
2. Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Planning
- Analyse business processes, sales performance, operational activities, and business trends.
- Identify business gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into clear processes, reports, and actionable recommendations.
- Conduct periodic business performance reviews and provide insights to management.
- Support management in strategic planning and business decision-making.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyse, and interpret business data from multiple sources.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, KPI reports, performance reports, and management reports.
- Monitor key business metrics and highlight deviations from targets.
- Analyse sales, revenue, profitability, inventory, productivity, and operational data as required.
- Convert complex data into easy-to-understand insights for management.
Process Improvement
- Study existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend solutions to improve productivity, cost efficiency, turnaround time, and overall business performance.
- Develop and document SOPs, workflows, process maps, and business requirements.
- Monitor implementation of process improvements and evaluate their effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Inventory, Procurement, HR, and other departments to gather and validate information.
- Work with department heads to understand business challenges and requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely flow of business information between departments.
- Follow up on action points arising from business reviews and management meetings.
Management Support
- Provide data-backed recommendations to management.
- Prepare presentations and business review reports for management meetings.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets, targets, and previous-period performance.
- Track strategic initiatives and provide regular progress updates.
- Support management in evaluating new business opportunities and projects.

4. Required Qualifications
- Masters in Computer Application(MCA), MBA/PGDM in Business Analytics, Finance, Operations, or a related specialization will be an advantage.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Management Analyst, MIS Analyst, or in a similar role

7. Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in consumer electronics, mobile phones, Apple products, retail, distribution, trading, B2B, FMCG, home appliances, or technology-driven businesses will be preferred.
Experience in businesses involving sales, inventory, procurement, distribution, trading, and multi-location operations will be an added advantage.
