About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Vice Principal to oversee and manage the overall functioning of our institution, including PUC, Undergraduate (Degree), and Postgraduate (PG) programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, academic, administrative, and operational expertise with thorough knowledge of NAAC accreditation, admissions, examinations, student affairs, and institutional governance.
The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal and management to ensure academic excellence, regulatory compliance, student success, and smooth day-to-day operations of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Management
- Oversee the academic functioning of PUC, Degree, and PG programs.
- Monitor curriculum implementation, academic quality, and teaching standards.
- Ensure effective academic planning, timetables, workload allocation, and faculty performance.
- Coordinate with Heads of Departments to achieve academic objectives.
- Monitor student academic progress and implement improvement strategies.
NAAC & Accreditation
- Lead and coordinate NAAC-related activities and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NAAC quality parameters and institutional best practices.
- Maintain accreditation records, reports, and quality assurance processes.
- Work closely with IQAC and other committees for continuous institutional improvement.
Admissions Management
- Plan and execute admission strategies to achieve enrollment targets.
- Monitor the complete admission process from inquiry to enrollment.
- Coordinate with the admissions team, counselors, and management.
- Develop initiatives to enhance student recruitment and retention.
Administration & Operations
- Oversee daily administrative operations of the institution.
- Ensure compliance with university, government, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with various departments for smooth institutional functioning.
- Monitor infrastructure, facilities, and resource utilization.
Student Management & Discipline
- Address student concerns and grievances effectively.
- Ensure discipline, student welfare, and a positive learning environment.
- Guide and mentor students in academic and personal development.
- Handle parent interactions and resolve student-related issues.
Examination & University Coordination
- Supervise examination planning, execution, and evaluation processes.
- Ensure compliance with university regulations and examination guidelines.
- Coordinate with university authorities regarding academic and examination matters.
- Monitor timely submission of reports, records, and documentation.
Faculty Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members.
- Promote professional development and training initiatives.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and academic excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (Ph.D. preferred).
- Extensive experience in higher education administration.
- Strong knowledge of PUC, Degree, and PG academic systems.
- Thorough understanding of NAAC accreditation processes.
- Experience in admissions, examinations, academic administration, and student affairs.
- Familiarity with university regulations and compliance requirements.
