Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Accountant with 2 years of experience to manage end-to-end company accounting operations including sales, purchase, billing, and inventory/stock management. The candidate will maintain accurate financial records, handle GST compliance, manage stock ledgers, generate invoices, reconcile transactions, and support month-end closing activities for our accounting firm.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Billing
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, delivery challans, and billing documents for clients
- Record sales transactions in accounting software and maintain customer ledgers
- Track client payments, manage receivables, and send payment reminders
- Prepare monthly sales reports and billing summaries for management review
Purchase & Vendor Management
- Process vendor purchase invoices, verify GST compliance, and record purchase entries
- Maintain vendor ledgers and coordinate with suppliers for billing reconciliations
- Track purchase payments and manage vendor payable accounts
Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain stock accounts and inventory ledgers aligned with financial records
- Record daily stock in/out transactions and update balance quantities
- Perform regular stock reconciliations between physical inventory and accounting systems
- Prepare monthly inventory reports, stock turnover analyses, and variance reports
- Coordinate with warehouse/storage teams for stocktakes and audit support
- Identify stock discrepancies (shortages, overages) and recommend corrective actions
General Accounting & Compliance
- Maintain daily books of accounts including journal entries, cash, and bank transactions
- Handle GST filing, TDS compliance, and income tax return support
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and firm policies
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for management
Required Qualifications
- B.Com or M.Com (Accounting/Finance)
- 2 years of experience in accounting with hands-on exposure to sales, purchase, billing, and inventory management
Pay: ₹18,000.43 - ₹20,727.90 per month
