Job Title: Senior ADSP Developer (Discipline Engineer)

Mission
As a key contributor to R&D excellence, the Senior ADSP Developer applies advanced technical knowledge to execute complex engineering tasks, drive problem-solving efforts, and lead the development of ADAS products and technologies. Working within Valeo’s Discipline practices, you will handle projects with high technical complexity (Newness levels 1-2) while providing guidance to junior engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software modules.
Key Responsibilities
Module Development & Architecture:
Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and debug software modules (workers) for critical ADAS features including ACC, AEB, LKA, and LCS.
System Integration: Integrate ADSP platform workers with project-specific logic (e.g., Renault Sweet 400, Geely) and middleware (DADI).
Architecture: Maintain Software Detailed Design (SwDD) using Doxygen and ensure all software requirements are linked and traceable in DOORS.
Testing, Validation & Quality:
Verification: Conduct unit and module testing using frameworks such as MTF or GTest to ensure 100% requirement coverage.
Code Quality: Perform static code analysis (Klocwork/Misra) and adhere to ASPICE Level 1/2 and ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
Problem Solving: Lead problem-solving initiatives using Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to analyze issues and implement solutions.
Operational Excellence:
Process Adherence: Actively adopt digital tools outlined in the Discipline’s Digitalization Roadmap and contribute to continuous improvement for process optimization.
Budget Awareness: Demonstrate awareness of project budgets and strive to optimize resource utilization within the scope of work.
Documentation: Prepare clear and concise technical documentation, reports, and specifications to effectively communicate work progress and results.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Technical Coaching: Provide technical guidance and support to Discipline Junior Engineers, fostering their onboarding and skill development.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineers and stakeholders to achieve project objectives in a positive work environment.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
Degree: Engineering Degree in Electronics, Software, Automotive, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Discipline Engineering activities within the automotive industry or relevant sectors.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Programming: Strong proficiency in Embedded C and C++.
Algorithms: Solid knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion (radar/camera), and vehicle control logic (lateral/longitudinal).
Development Tools: Eclipse, Matlab/Simulink, VS Code.
Automotive Standards: AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive), DaVinci Configurator/Developer, EB Tresos.
Simulation & Testing: CANoe, CANalyzer, CarMaker, ADTF, DASTE.
Management Tools: DOORS (Requirements), CoreALM/Jira (Tickets), Git/Gerrit (Version Control).
Key Competencies:
Professional: Skilled in System/Product knowledge, Product Platforming, and Tools/Automation.
General: Agile behavior, collaborative attitude, and the ability to speak with facts and data.
