A Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager oversees all culinary and beverage operations. Their primary goal is to ensure high customer satisfaction and maximize profitability. They achieve this by managing daily service, leading staff, controlling inventory and costs, and ensuring safety.
Key duties and responsibilities span several core areas:1. Operations & Service Delivery
- Daily Oversight: Manage all front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations across restaurants, bars, room service, and banquets.
- Quality Control: Monitor food and drink presentation, taste, and overall service to guarantee it meets establishment standards.
- Guest Relations: Interact with diners, handle and resolve customer complaints promptly, and ensure a welcoming, high-quality dining experience.
2. Financial Management
- Budgeting & Profitability: Develop, implement, and track departmental budgets to maximize revenue and hit financial targets.
- Cost Control: Manage labor costs, control food and beverage waste, and analyze sales reports to maintain healthy profit margins.
- Pricing & Menu Engineering: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design menus, determine pricing strategies, and promote seasonal specials.
3. Inventory & Supply Chain
- Stock Management: Conduct regular inventory audits of perishable goods, dry stores, and alcoholic beverages to avoid shortages and overstocking.
- Vendor Relations: Source high-quality ingredients and negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and food vendors.
4. Staff Leadership
- Hiring & Training: Recruit, onboard, and train new staff members, focusing on customer service standards and product knowledge.
- Scheduling: Create strategic shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling overtime costs.
- Performance Management: Set goals, evaluate staff performance, and provide ongoing coaching and motivation.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Health & Sanitation: Enforce strict health, hygiene, and sanitation protocols, ensuring compliance with local food safety regulations.
- Licensing: Ensure all necessary operational, alcohol, and bar licenses are current and compliant with local laws.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
