Quantity Surveyor – Waterproofing Works
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in waterproofing systems and construction finishing works. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, billing, cost control, subcontractor management, and coordination related to waterproofing projects in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs for waterproofing works from drawings and site measurements.
- Analyze tender documents, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor works.
- Verify site measurements and certify subcontractor bills.
- Track material consumption and reconcile quantities with site execution.
- Prepare client billing, RA bills, variation claims, and final accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and procurement teams.
- Evaluate waterproofing methods and materials such as:
- PU coating
- APP membrane
- Bituminous membrane
- Cementitious coating
- Injection grouting
- Crystalline waterproofing
- Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain documentation related to contracts, work orders, invoices, and progress reports.
- Assist in rate analysis and vendor comparison for waterproofing products and services.
- Ensure work compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 0–2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in waterproofing or finishing works.
- Knowledge of waterproofing materials, methods, and site execution practices.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel
- Billing and estimation software
- BOQ preparation
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
Preferred Skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of contracts and commercial procedures.
- Experience in high-rise, basement, terrace, podium, or wet-area waterproofing projects.
- Familiarity with ERP/software like Candy, Primavera, or SAP is an advantage.

Based on experience and project exposure.
