About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Functional Project Manager to lead end-to-end implementation of enterprise retail solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project delivery, gathering and translating functional requirements, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project go-live within defined timelines and scope.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery

Lead end-to-end ERP implementation projects from initiation to go-live.

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones using project management tools.

Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for customers during implementation.

Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and solution discussions.

Provide regular project updates and manage stakeholder expectations.

Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
Functional Expertise

Analyze and document business processes related to retail operations.

Translate business requirements into functional specifications.

Provide guidance on best practices in POS, inventory management, merchandising, and supply chain processes.

Support solution configuration and ensure alignment with client needs.
Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Technical, QA, Support, and Product teams.

Allocate resources effectively and monitor team performance.

Ensure smooth handover from implementation to support.
Governance & Risk Management

Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Ensure compliance with defined project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).

Maintain project documentation and reporting standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related field.

15+ years of experience in ERP implementation and project management.
-
Strong understanding of retail business processes and operations.

Proven experience in managing large enterprise implementation projects.

Experience working with global clients.

Strong command over project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
-
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications

PMP / Prince2 or other project management certifications.

Experience in SaaS or cloud-based retail solutions.

Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
