Architectural Intern
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Architectural Intern to join our design team. The intern will assist architects and project teams in developing design concepts, preparing drawings, creating 3D models, and supporting project documentation across various stages of architectural projects.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world architectural practice, construction documentation, client coordination, and design development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations
- Support concept development and design presentations
- Create 3D models, renderings, and visualizations
- Help prepare working drawings and construction documentation
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and documentation when required
- Research materials, building codes, and design references
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and project teams
- Organize project files and maintain documentation
- Participate in team meetings and design discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Architecture
- Basic understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods
- Proficiency in software such as:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Lumion / V-Ray / Enscape / D5
- MS Office
- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
- Good drafting and visualization skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio showcasing academic or personal projects
- Knowledge of sustainable design concepts
- Familiarity with local building bye-laws and codes
- Basic site execution understanding
