Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and smooth functioning of hospital infrastructure and support services. The role ensures efficient operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, biomedical coordination, housekeeping, security, waste management, and statutory compliance within the hospital premises.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacility & Maintenance Management
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance of hospital buildings and infrastructure.
- Ensure proper functioning of:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- HVAC / Air-conditioning
- DG sets and UPS
- Water supply systems
- Fire safety systems
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Maintain AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) records and vendor coordination.
Housekeeping & Hygiene
- Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure hospital cleanliness standards.
- Monitor infection control practices in coordination with nursing and infection control team.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal as per regulations.
Safety & Security
- Ensure implementation of fire and safety measures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and mock drills.
- Supervise security personnel and CCTV monitoring.
- Ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety within the hospital.
Equipment & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with biomedical team/vendors for equipment servicing and repairs.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and consumables.
- Handle vendor negotiations and service follow-ups.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital regulations, safety norms, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and inspection records.
- Assist during audits and licensing inspections.
Team Management
- Supervise maintenance, housekeeping, security, and support staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance.
- Train staff on safety and facility protocols.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Facility Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Hospital facility management experience preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in hospital or healthcare facility management.
- Experience in managing hospital maintenance and support services preferred.

Working Hours
- General shift with emergency on-call availability when required.
Salary
- Based on experience and hospital standards.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
