JOB DESCRIPTION – PPIC MANAGER
Position: PPIC Manager
Department: Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC)

Location: Baddi, Himachal Pradesh
Reporting To: General Manager / Plant Head / Management
Experience: 8–15 Years
1. Job Purpose
To lead and manage the Production Planning, Material Planning, Inventory Control, and coordination activities to ensure timely production, optimum inventory levels, effective utilization of resources, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations in compliance with GMP and company procedures.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning
- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Stores, Engineering, and Purchase departments for smooth execution of production plans.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of planned batches.
- Identify production constraints and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
- Prepare batch-wise and product-wise planning as per priority and delivery requirements.
- Monitor plan vs. actual production and report deviations to management.
Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Prepare Material Requirement Planning (MRP) based on production schedules and BOM requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of APIs, excipients, packaging materials, and other production-related materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for procurement and availability of materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid overstocking or stock-outs.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory.
- Ensure proper material allocation as per approved production plans.
Coordination & MIS
- Coordinate closely with Production, Warehouse/Stores, Purchase, QA, QC, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Prepare and circulate daily/weekly/monthly PPIC reports.
- Maintain production planning records, material status reports, pending order reports, and inventory statements.
- Track plan vs. actual, batch status, material availability, and dispatch requirements.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding production status and critical shortages.
Pharmaceutical Compliance
- Ensure PPIC activities are performed in accordance with GMP, GDP, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of planning and inventory-related activities.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for batch release status and production planning.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits related to PPIC activities.
- Ensure proper handling of product priorities, approved specifications, and status of materials.
ERP / System Management
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of production and material-related data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Monitor BOM, inventory, batch planning, material consumption, and production orders.
- Coordinate with ERP/IT teams for PPIC-related system issues and improvements.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain proper system records.

4. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Science, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Operations, or Production Management will be an advantage.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing PPIC.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, material planning, inventory management, and ERP/MRP systems.
- Good understanding of GMP, SOPs, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

- Responsible for maintaining compliance with company policies, GMP, and applicable SOPs.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
