Position Overview
The Sales Manager – Private Sector will be responsible for driving business growth in the industrial and commercial segments for Transformers and Core Electrical Systems.
The role focuses on end users, industries, consultants, and EPC contractors, involving business development, relationship management, and order conversion in NCR and Ahmedabad regions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development – Private Sector
- Develop and expand sales for Transformers and Core Electrical Systems in industrial and private sector markets.
- Identify opportunities with manufacturing industries, commercial projects, real estate developers, and EPC contractors.
- Generate leads through market visits, networking, and consultant engagement.
Client & Consultant Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with end users, consultants, electrical contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Engage with consultants for product approvals, specifications, and project inclusion.
- Regular client visits to understand requirements and offer customized solutions.
Sales Conversion & Order Booking
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals in coordination with costing and design teams.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and close orders effectively.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
Coordination & Project Execution Support
- Coordinate with Design, Costing, Production, and Dispatch teams for smooth order execution.
- Support clients during project execution and resolve any technical/commercial queries.
- Ensure timely follow-up for payments and collections.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market demand.
- Provide inputs for pricing strategy and product positioning.
- Identify new growth segments in industrial and commercial sectors.
Required Technical Expertise
✔ Good understanding of Transformer (Distribution/Power) and Core Electrical Systems
✔ Basic knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial power requirements
✔ Familiarity with consultant-driven sales and project-based selling
✔ Understanding of technical specifications and commercial proposals
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
- MBA in Sales/Marketing (added advantage)
Experience Required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical product sales (Transformers / Core Electrical / Panels)
- Experience in handling private sector clients, industries, and consultants
- Exposure to NCR or Ahmedabad market preferred
