About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Accountant to oversee financial operations, project accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in the construction, real estate, or civil contracting industry and possess strong knowledge of GST, TDS, project cost accounting, and Tally Prime.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile site-wise construction expenses, material purchases, and vendor invoices.
- Track project budgets and identify cost variances.
- Verify contractor bills, subcontractor measurements, and labor wage statements before payment.
- Maintain accurate project cost records and expenditure reports.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain books of accounts, journal entries, ledgers, and daily financial transactions using Tally Prime or ERP software.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B) accurately and on time.
- Manage TDS deductions, payments, and quarterly return filing.
- Support internal and statutory audits.
- Assist with K-RERA compliance, financial documentation, and regulatory reporting.
Client Billing & Payroll
- Generate stage-wise customer invoices and payment demand notes based on construction milestones.
- Monitor customer collections and outstanding payments.
- Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments.
- Ensure timely financial transactions and proper documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Commerce (M.Com) from a recognized university.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience.
- Prior experience in construction, real estate, infrastructure, or civil contracting is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Tally Prime, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial reporting).
- Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, Indian Accounting Standards, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in project cost accounting and milestone-based billing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
