Job Summary
The MEP Designer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and reviewing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The role involves developing detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, coordinating with architects and structural engineers, and supporting project execution from design through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP drawings and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design software.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify and resolve MEP design conflicts.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection where required.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure integrated design.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), material specifications, and technical documentation.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
- Assist in site inspections and resolve design-related issues during construction.
- Review shop drawings and vendor submissions for technical compliance.
- Maintain project documentation, revisions, and as-built drawings.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project cost and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with specialization or experience in MEP design.
- Certification in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in MEP design for residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, or real estate developers is preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, IS standards, NBC, and local authority regulations.
- Ability to prepare BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.
- Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
