Job Description:
We are looking for a Recon Operations Executive (L1) to manage payment reconciliation, settlements, dispute handling, and General Ledger (GL) reconciliation for digital payment channels.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in payment operations, preferably across UPI, IMPS, AEPS, or Digital Banking ecosystems, with a strong understanding of NPCI processes.
1. Transaction Reconciliation (UPI/IMPS/AEPS):
- Perform daily reconciliation of UPI, IMPS, and AEPS transactions between the bank’s systems and payment aggregators.
- Identify and resolve mismatches between transaction reports and bank entries.
- Ensure failed, reversed, or timed-out transactions are correctly processed or escalated.
- Verify inward/outward settlement amounts to match with bank statements and internal records.
2. Settlement and Exception Handling:
- Handle real-time monitoring of UPI/IMPS/AEPS settlement cycles and exception reports.
- Investigate and escalate unresolved or stuck transactions with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., NPCI, partner banks).
- Process chargebacks, refunds, and disputes as per NPCI guidelines.
- Coordinate with partner banks and payment processors for timely settlement adjustments.
3. GL (General Ledger) Accounting and Tally:
- Post and verify payment-related entries in the GL to ensure alignment with financial transactions.
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation between GL accounts and payment settlement reports.
- Prepare reports to highlight accounting adjustments required in the GL.
- Ensure tallying of balances across various financial instruments and systems (Bank GL, Cash GL, Receivables, Payables).
Skills Required:
- 1+ years of experience in Payment Reconciliation, preferably in UPI, IMPS, AEPS, or Digital Banking.
- Good understanding of NPCI products, payment settlements, and dispute handling.
- Knowledge of GL reconciliation and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, MS Office, Outlook, and Tally ERP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
