Job Summary
The Tandoor Chef (Commi 1) is responsible for preparing and cooking all tandoor dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. The role requires consistency, speed, and teamwork to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all tandoor items as per standard recipes.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet hotel standards.
- Prepare mise en place before service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the tandoor section and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth service.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating the tandoor.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Tandoor Chef (Commi 1) in a hotel or restaurant.
- Good knowledge of Indian tandoor cuisine.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
