Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) to support individuals in their journey to quit tobacco. The ideal candidate will provide professional counselling, guide participants through the Nicotex Counselling Programme, and ensure continuous engagement through regular follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counselling to individuals seeking tobacco cessation support.
- Assess participants' tobacco usage patterns and readiness to quit.
- Enroll eligible participants into the Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) programme for a duration of 12 weeks.
- Conduct regular follow-up counselling sessions to monitor progress, provide motivation, and address challenges.
- Educate participants on the health benefits of quitting tobacco and effective cessation strategies.
- Maintain accurate counselling records and participant documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless programme execution.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain professional ethics while handling participant information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology.
- Specialization or Diploma in Psychology is mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in counselling, behavioural therapy, mental health, wellness programmes, or tobacco cessation services.
- Experience in healthcare, counselling centres, NGOs, or wellness programmes will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and a client-focused approach.
- Ability to motivate and support individuals through behavioural change.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
