Role Overview
The WE Foundation is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Communications & Graphic Design Executive to strengthen our digital presence through impactful storytelling and compelling visual design. The role combines digital communications, social media management, content creation, and graphic design to effectively communicate the Foundation's programmes, campaigns, and impact. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller who can transform ideas into engaging digital experiences while ensuring consistency in the Foundation's brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Communications
- Plan and manage the Foundation's social media presence.
- Develop monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns, programmes, events, and observance days.
- Create engaging content including social media posts, blogs, newsletters, website content, and impact stories.
- Monitor and engage with online communities by responding to comments, messages, and audience interactions.
- Track social media trends and recommend innovative content ideas to improve reach and engagement.
Graphic Design & Visual Communication
- Design high-quality creatives for social media, websites, newsletters, presentations, reports, campaigns, and events.
- Develop infographics, brochures, posters, banners, standees, flyers, and other communication materials.
- Ensure consistency in branding and visual identity across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with programme teams to translate complex development concepts into visually engaging communication materials.
- Maintain and organise the Foundation's digital asset library.
Video Content & Reels
- Conceptualise, shoot, and edit engaging reels, short-form videos, and campaign videos for social media.
- Capture photographs and videos during field visits, workshops, campaigns, and organisational events.
- Create motion graphics and basic animations where required to enhance digital storytelling.
- Work closely with internal teams to identify compelling stories and document programme impact.
Website & Digital Platforms
- Update website content and visual assets as required.
- Support email marketing campaigns and digital newsletters.
- Optimise content for digital platforms and ensure accessibility and user engagement.
Campaigns & Brand Visibility
- Support fundraising, advocacy, awareness, and volunteer engagement campaigns through creative communication materials.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for design and production requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of communication assets across multiple projects.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor digital performance using social media insights and Google Analytics.
- Prepare monthly reports on audience growth, engagement, and campaign performance.
- Recommend improvements based on data and emerging digital trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in graphic design, digital communications, or visual content creation, preferably within the non-profit, development, or social impact sector.
Required Skills
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design and digital communication work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva.
- Experience with video editing software.
- Ability to create engaging Instagram Reels and other short-form video content.
- Excellent visual storytelling, typography, layout, and branding skills.
- Basic photography and videography skills using a smartphone and/or DSLR.
