We are seeking a responsible and proactive Plant Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our biomass pellet manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing manpower, ensuring smooth machine operations, maintaining records, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting raw material procurement efforts.
The role requires a hands-on professional who can establish discipline, maintain systems, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure efficient plant functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant & Production Operations
- Supervise daily operations of pellet plant machinery and production staff.
- Ensure smooth and continuous running of machines during shifts.
- Monitor production targets, raw material usage, and finished goods output.
- Coordinate with machine operators and labour teams for efficient plant performance.
Troubleshooting & Reporting
- Identify operational or mechanical issues and coordinate timely troubleshooting.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding:
- production,
- machine performance,
- maintenance issues,
- labour activities,
- raw material availability.
Inventory & Record Management
- Maintain proper register books and records for:
- incoming raw materials,
- outgoing finished goods,
- stock movement,
- machine downtime,
- diesel/electricity usage,
- maintenance activities.
Procurement & Market Coordination
- Visit nearby markets/vendors to procure plant repair and maintenance materials.
- Coordinate with local suppliers for urgent operational requirements.
- Support sourcing and lead generation for biomass raw materials.
Raw Material Procurement Support
- Conduct field/site visits for raw material assessment and supplier development.
- Build and maintain relationships with local vendors, farmers, traders, and aggregators.
- Assist management in identifying new procurement opportunities.
Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Ensure regular preventive maintenance of machinery and plant equipment.
- Coordinate repairs and minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and safety standards at the plant site.
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
