Job Description: English Teacher (Grades 1-8) – CBSE School
Position Title: TGT/PRT English Teacher
Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to teach students from Grade 1 to Grade 8 following the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster language skills, creativity, and critical thinking while maintaining CBSE standards and promoting a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons as per CBSE syllabus for Grades 1-8
- Teach foundational skills: phonics, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and spoken English
- Integrate literature, poetry, and creative writing appropriate to each grade level
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and proficiency levels
- Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments in line with CBSE guidelines
- Create a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment
- Use activity-based learning, storytelling, role-plays, and digital tools to enhance engagement
- Encourage reading habits through library periods, book clubs, and DEAR programs
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in English with http://B.Ed. from a recognized university. CTET/TET qualified preferred for CBSE
- Experience: 1-3 years teaching English in CBSE/ICSE schools preferred. Freshers with strong communication skills may apply for PRT roles
- Skills: Excellent verbal & written English, classroom management, lesson planning, familiarity with NEP 2020 & CBSE guidelines

- Tech-savvy: comfortable with smart boards, LMS, and digital teaching tools
