Job Description: IT Support Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, providing technical support to users, maintaining systems and network infrastructure, and ensuring smooth functioning of hardware, software, internet, security, and office IT assets.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, networks, operating systems, office applications, user access, and basic server or cloud-related support. The role requires good technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, ownership, and the ability to support users without impacting business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and other office IT assets.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, MS Office, Outlook, browsers, VPN, antivirus, and common business applications.
- Manage user account creation, access permissions, password resets, email configuration, and basic admin support.
- Monitor and maintain internet connectivity, LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for internet, hardware, software, AMC, and service-related issues.
- Ensure proper functioning of office systems, conference room devices, CCTV, access control, and other IT infrastructure.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, allocation records, repair history, and replacement tracking.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including system setup, access provisioning, and data handover.
- Ensure data security, endpoint protection, antivirus updates, and compliance with internal IT policies.
- Perform regular system checks, backups, updates, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in software installation, license tracking, and compliance management.
- Document recurring issues, resolutions, user requests, and IT support activities.
- Escalate critical issues to senior IT team members, vendors, or service providers when required.
- Support remote users and provide timely resolution through remote support tools.
- Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of business-critical IT issues.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, IP address, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools.
- Knowledge of printer, scanner, biometric, CCTV, and peripheral device troubleshooting.
- Understanding of antivirus, endpoint security, system updates, and basic data protection practices.
- Ability to diagnose hardware and software issues independently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users.
- Strong ownership, discipline, and timely follow-up on open issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple support requests.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in firewall, router, switch, and Wi-Fi configuration.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, shared folders, group policies, and user permissions.
- Experience with helpdesk or ticketing tools.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms, remote desktop tools, and backup systems.
- Knowledge of IT security practices and company data protection standards.
- Qualification
- Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or relevant certification in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
