Job Summary
Krishna Nursing College is seeking a responsible, disciplined, and compassionate Hostel Warden to oversee the day-to-day operations of the student hostel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining discipline, ensuring student welfare, promoting a safe and secure living environment, and supporting the overall development of students residing in the hostel.
This is a residential position, and accommodation will be provided within the hostel premises.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Welfare & Discipline
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment for all residents.
- Counsel students on behavioural and personal concerns where appropriate and escalate matters to the Principal or Management when necessary.
- Address emergencies promptly and coordinate appropriate assistance when required.
Hostel Administration
- Maintain accurate hostel records, including resident details, attendance, leave, and visitor registers.
- Ensure compliance with hostel timings and established procedures.
- Monitor daily hostel operations and report any issues requiring management attention.
- Coordinate room allocation and occupancy records.
Safety & Security
- Conduct routine rounds to ensure student safety and compliance with hostel regulations.
- Monitor entry and exit of visitors in accordance with hostel policies.
- Report security concerns, accidents, or incidents promptly.
- Coordinate with security and maintenance personnel as required.
Housekeeping & Maintenance
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of hostel facilities.
- Report maintenance requirements and follow up until completion.
- Monitor housekeeping standards in common areas.
Coordination
- Work closely with the Principal, Nursing Superintendent, faculty members, and Management regarding student welfare and disciplinary matters.
- Participate in meetings and other duties related to hostel administration as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidates with a background in Nursing, Healthcare, Education, Hostel Administration, or Residential Care are encouraged to apply.
- First aid knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in hostel management, student affairs, or residential supervision is desirable.

- Good communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain discipline with fairness and professionalism.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Salary
Salary: Based on qualification and experience.
