Key Responsibilities:

Develop accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using Creo 10, with a focus on sheet metal components and assemblies.

Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and engineering drawings in accordance with industry standards and company drafting best practices.

Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in compliance with ASME Y14.5 standards.

Implement appropriate welding symbols, fabrication notes, and manufacturing specifications in technical drawings.

Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability by applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.

Support product data creation, revision control, and documentation management through PLM systems such as Windchill, Teamcenter, or equivalent.

Work closely with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project teams to ensure design feasibility, clarity of documentation and timely execution.

Review and validate drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.

Participate in design reviews, engineering change implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide timely engineering support during prototype and production phases.

Maintain drawing quality and consistency across all documentation and models.
Skills and Experience Requirements:

Qualification - B.E./ B-Tech Mechanical / Automobile

Experience Range – 4-8 Years, hands-on experience in Sheetmetal drafting and design.

In-depth knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), tolerances and engineering drawing interpretation. (Certification in GD&T will be an added advantage)

Experience in developing and maintaining 3D models and manufacturing-ready 2D drawings.

Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including bending, forming, and welding.

Familiarity with welding standards and correct representation of welding information in technical documentation.

Knowledge of PLM systems and engineering change management processes.

Understanding of DFM principles and manufacturing constraints.

Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional environment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

CAD Proficiency: Expert in Creo 10, especially in sheet metal module. (Certification in Creo will be an added advantage)

Familiarity with additional CAD or simulation tools will be an added advantage
