Job Summary
An Elevator Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, escalators, and related vertical transportation systems. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive servicing
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
- Repair or replace defective components such as motors, controllers, wiring, and safety devices
- Handle troubleshooting of PLC/drive systems and elevator controllers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Respond to breakdown calls and emergency service requests
- Maintain service logs, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and supervisors
