The Floor Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day control of workshop floor operations, job allocation, technician utilisation, productivity, repair progress, quality, turnaround time, housekeeping and safety. The role ensures vehicles move through the workshop efficiently and jobs are completed right-first-time.
3. 1. Job Allocation & Floor Control
· Review open job cards and allocate work based on technician skill and workload.
· Ensure jobs are started promptly after approvals and parts availability.
· Monitor vehicle movement and bay utilisation.
· Prioritise breakdown, uptime-critical and promised-delivery jobs.
4. 2. Productivity & TAT
· Monitor technician productivity and job progress throughout the day.
· Identify idle time, waiting for parts, approval or technical support.
· Escalate delays immediately.
· Support achievement of turnaround-time and labour-productivity targets.
5. 3. Quality Control
· Monitor repair quality and adherence to job-card instructions.
· Coordinate with Technical Advisor for diagnosis and final quality checks.
· Track repeat jobs, comebacks and pending repairs.
· Ensure vehicles are not released without required checks.
6. 4. Safety & Housekeeping
· Ensure workshop floor discipline, PPE and safe working practices.
· Maintain clean bays, tools and work areas.
· Report unsafe conditions immediately.
· Support daily workshop housekeeping and safety checks.
7. 5. Reporting
· Provide daily status of open jobs, completed jobs, delayed jobs and critical vehicles.
· Monitor technician attendance and utilisation.
· Support monthly productivity and performance reports.
· Escalate recurring operational issues to management.

9. Qualification & Experience
· Diploma/ITI/Automobile/Mechanical preferred.
· 4–7 years commercial vehicle workshop experience preferred.
· Experience in technician supervision and workshop productivity.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
