Job Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hindi Teacher for Grades 6–8 who can develop students' language proficiency, critical thinking, creativity, and appreciation of Hindi literature.
The ideal candidate should be able to make Hindi engaging and relevant for middle-school learners through interactive teaching strategies, meaningful activities, literature-based discussions, and effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Hindi lessons for Grades 6–8, aligned with the ICSE curriculum and school learning objectives.
- Teach Hindi grammar, prose, poetry, comprehension, vocabulary, composition, creative writing, and communication skills.
- Develop students' ability to express themselves confidently in both spoken and written Hindi.
- Strengthen students' reading comprehension, interpretation, analytical thinking, and literary appreciation.
- Conduct interactive discussions around stories, poems, characters, themes, and literary devices.
- Develop students' writing skills through essays, letters, dialogues, stories, descriptions, diary writing, and creative compositions.
- Design age-appropriate worksheets, assignments, projects, quizzes, and other learning resources.
- Use differentiated teaching strategies to support students with varying levels of Hindi proficiency.
- Integrate activities, games, storytelling, role play, presentations, debates, poetry recitation, and digital resources into lessons.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Track individual student progress and implement appropriate remedial or enrichment support.
- Prepare students effectively for ICSE examinations and school-based assessments.
- Encourage participation in Hindi-related competitions and co-curricular activities such as elocution, storytelling, creative writing, debates, poetry, and dramatics.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to communicate without hesitation.
- Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, student portfolios, and other academic documentation as required.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support interdisciplinary and experiential learning.
- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress whenever required.
- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, workshops, professional development programmes, and other academic initiatives.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Hindi / Hindi Literature or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Strong command of Hindi grammar, literature, reading, writing, and communication.
- Good working knowledge of English for professional communication.
- Familiarity with the ICSE curriculum and assessment practices will be an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a reputed ICSE/CBSE school.
- Experience specifically teaching Grades 6–8 is preferred.
- Candidates with strong subject knowledge and relevant teaching qualifications may also be considered.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
