- Preventative Maintenance:Developing and implementing maintenance schedules, conducting routine checks, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:Diagnosing electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns, and repairing or replacing faulty components.
- Safety Compliance:Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations, and identifying potential hazards or code violations.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Collaboration:Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
- Documentation:Maintaining documentation of maintenance procedures, repairs, and equipment history.
- Equipment Maintenance:Maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems.
- Supervision and Training:In some roles, they may supervise and train maintenance workers.
- Performance Monitoring:Monitoring the performance of electrical systems and equipment, and identifying areas for improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Planning and Budgeting: Developing maintenance plans and budgets.
- Procurement: Assisting with the specification and procurement of electrical equipment and supplies.
- Incident Reporting: Reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses in accordance with safety procedures.
- Coordination: Coordinating with production and other departments to ensure efficient maintenance and operation of equipment.
- Energy Efficiency: Implementing measures to improve energy efficiency.
