Job Opening: Construction Engineer
About the Role
Young Scholars School is seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented Construction Engineer to oversee and manage the construction of a new school building project in Barnala, Punjab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, quality control, contractor coordination, material management, and timely completion of the project while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Location : Barnala, Punjab
Experience Required : Minimum 10 years of relevant construction experience
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review and verify contractor bills, measurements, and work progress.
- Manage procurement planning and monitor material quality and consumption.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and construction best practices.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges at the site.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for management.
- Maintain project documentation, records, and site reports.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering, building construction, and project management.
- Experience in educational, institutional, commercial, or large-scale building projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and other construction management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of quality control, budgeting, and site execution.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in school, college, or institutional building projects.
- Experience managing projects from foundation to handover.
