Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee end-to-end textile manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure optimum productivity, consistent quality, timely delivery, cost efficiency, and effective utilization of manpower and machinery. Prior experience in textile manufacturing units is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Manage end-to-end textile production operations, including spinning, weaving/knitting, processing, dyeing, finishing, packing, and dispatch, as applicable.
- Ensure production is carried out in accordance with quality standards, customer specifications, and production schedules.
- Monitor production efficiency, reduce wastage, and implement measures to improve productivity and operational performance.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, maintenance, quality assurance, stores, and dispatch teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of machinery, equipment, raw materials, utilities, and manpower.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain production records, daily output reports, rejection reports, efficiency reports, and other operational MIS.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Lead, train, motivate, and supervise production supervisors and shop-floor employees.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimisation, waste reduction, and cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in textile manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a Production Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, production planning, capacity utilisation, quality control, and industrial engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices, process optimisation, and cost management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
