Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computational or information sciences
· Demonstrated knowledge of Linux.
· Demonstrated knowledge in source control tools (e.g., Git).
· Demonstrated programming skills in languages such as R, Python, C/C++ etc. and related packages and tools.
· Recognized for broad learning agility
· Ability to work with minimal supervision, innovative thinking with strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate technical information to a business partner and ability to understand the business needs / language and translate into a technical (IT) language / application.
· Experience working in an Agile team
Preferred Qualifications
· Working knowledge of advanced HPC technologies such as OpenMP, MPI, and accelerators (GPUs).
· Working knowledge of HPC environments. Experience using HPC schedulers and resource managers such as Univa Grid Engine.
· Demonstrated knowledge in IaaS clouds (e.g., Amazon Web Services - AWS) and IaaS cloud services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, AWS Batch, AWS Lambda, AWS Parallel Cluster)
· AWS certification
· Understanding of software development in research and production environments. Ability to take someone else's code (in any language) and make changes.
Working knowledge of software configuration management using DevOps tools and methodologies.
