Senior Sales Manager– On-Site
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Sales with strong experience in factory and process automation to lead and manage the sales team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industrial automation products, industrial computers, data gateways, data converters, Remote I/O and related industrial communication solutions. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the sales pipeline, developing key customer relationships, supporting the sales team technically and commercially, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, guide and monitor the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. Develop and execute sales strategies for factory automation, process automation and industrial communication products. Generate new business opportunities through direct customer visits, calls, references, exhibitions and channel partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, OEMs, system integrators, distributors and potential customers. Manage key accounts and ensure regular follow-up for enquiries, quotations, trials, samples and purchase orders. Monitor the complete sales funnel from lead generation to order closure. Review sales enquiries, quotations, opportunities and pending follow-ups with the sales team on a regular basis. Support team members in handling technically complex enquiries and customer requirements. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations and technical discussions with customers, both onsite and remotely. Identify customer requirements and coordinate with the technical/product team for suitable product solutions. Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure timely conversion of opportunities. Set individual targets and KPIs for sales team members and monitor their performance. Conduct regular team reviews and provide coaching, guidance and feedback to team members. Identify gaps in team performance and take corrective actions to improve sales productivity. Coordinate with internal teams including Engineering, Production, Purchase, Operations and Management to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements. Support negotiation of commercial terms, pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules within company guidelines. Track competitor activities, market trends and customer requirements and provide inputs to management. Attend industrial exhibitions, trade shows, customer meetings and other business development activities. Identify opportunities for new products, applications and market segments and provide feedback to the product development team. Prepare and present regular sales reports covering enquiries, pipeline, customer visits, conversions, order booking and target achievement. Ensure proper CRM/sales data maintenance and timely updating of customer and opportunity information. Support collection/payment follow-up for assigned accounts in coordination with the accounts team. Develop and maintain relationships with system integrators, OEMs, panel builders, automation companies and industrial customers.
Product & Technical Understanding The candidate should preferably have knowledge of: Industrial Automation Industrial Computers / Box PCs Panel PCs and Industrial Monitors Data Gateways and Data Converters RS232 / RS485 / Ethernet communication Modbus RTU / Modbus TCP Remote I/O modules Industrial networking and communication solutions Factory and Process Automation applications Team Management Responsibilities Manage and mentor the sales team. Allocate leads and opportunities among team members. Monitor daily customer follow-ups and sales activities. Review individual and team performance against targets. Conduct periodic sales review meetings. Support team members in important customer meetings and negotiations. Train team members on products, applications and sales processes. Ensure disciplined follow-up and timely closure of opportunities. Motivate the team to achieve and exceed assigned targets. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation or related engineering field. Minimum 4–6 years of sales experience, preferably in factory/process automation or industrial products. Prior experience in managing or mentoring a sales team will be preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial automation products and applications. Good understanding of industrial computers, data gateways, data converters and industrial communication products. Strong B2B sales and business development experience.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills. Strong leadership and team-management abilities. Ability to understand customer technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Target-oriented and result-driven approach. Ability to work independently as well as lead a team. Company Timing Monday to Saturday 2nd and 4th Saturday off 9:15 AM to 6:30 PM
Experience
4–6 years in Factory & Process Automation / Industrial Automation Sales Team handling experience preferred.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
