Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Junior Electrical Engineer – Automation to support the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of home electrical automation products. The candidate should have practical knowledge of house wiring, electrical panels, smart automation devices, and customer demonstrations. The role requires field visits, technical support, and coordination with customers, dealers, and the production team.
Key Responsibilities1. Installation & Commissioning
- Install and commission electrical automation products at customer sites.
- Perform wiring, testing, and configuration of automation devices.
- Ensure installations comply with electrical safety standards.
2. House Wiring & Electrical Work
- Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and layouts.
- Carry out house wiring and electrical connections for automation systems.
- Inspect wiring installations and rectify faults when required.
3. Product Demonstration
- Demonstrate the features and operation of automation products to customers, dealers, and electricians.
- Conduct product training sessions for distributors and channel partners.
- Explain product installation procedures and troubleshooting methods.
4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues.
- Attend service complaints and provide timely technical support.
- Perform preventive maintenance and functional testing of installed systems.
5. Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance to the sales and marketing team.
- Support customers through phone calls, video calls, and on-site visits.
- Prepare service reports after each installation or complaint visit.
6. Quality & Testing
- Test automation products before dispatch or installation.
- Verify product functionality as per company quality standards.
- Report product defects and coordinate with the production team for corrective actions.
7. Documentation
- Maintain records of installation reports, service reports, and customer feedback.
- Update daily work status and submit reports to the reporting manager.
8. Coordination
- Coordinate with production, quality, stores, and dispatch departments for product availability.
- Work closely with customers, dealers, contractors, and electricians during installations.
9. Safety Compliance
- Follow all electrical safety guidelines while working on-site.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and electrical testing instruments.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- ITI (Electrician) candidates with relevant automation experience may also apply.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical installation, automation, or house wiring.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of home electrical automation products.
- Understanding of house wiring and electrical circuits.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of electrical control panels and switchgear.
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Willingness to travel for site installations and service support.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office for reporting.
